In This Role You Will:

1. Provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.
2. Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of residentsโ€™ health status, documenting observations, and communicating findings to the healthcare team.
3. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and ensuring accuracy and safety.
4. Monitors residentsโ€™ vital signs and response to treatments, promptly reports any changes or concerns to the physician and/or director of nursing.
5. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to the residentsโ€™ unique needs and preferences.
6. Coordinates and oversees resident care and services, including the delivery of care and services by other qualified health care staff, life enrichment functions, meal
service, housekeeping services and all other aspects of care and service within the nursing department.
7. Provides health education and support to residents and their families, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and facilitating access to resources and supporting services.

8. Fosters a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity, and respect while ensuring their safety and well-being and in adherence with Residentโ€™s Rights.
9. Maintains accurate and current medical records and documentation, adhering to state and federal regulatory standards.
10. Serves as a resource and mentor to nursing staff and other team members, providing guidance, support, and clinical expertise as needed.
11. Adheres to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and commitment to excellence in care delivery.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift Details:

Full-time weekend option 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Qualifications:
  • Required: associates degree and a valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state, strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, CPR and other relevant certifications as required, and knowledge of geriatric nursing principles.
