Location : Remote (USA)
Duration: 6-12 months
Mandatory: Strong coding skills (Java Script)
We are seeking a Shopify Plus Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Shopify Plus stores, ensuring they are high-performing, scalable, and reliable. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create custom themes, integrate third-party applications, architect and build custom apps, and optimize the overall user experience. The engineer also troubleshoots technical issues, mentors junior developers, and stays updated with the latest Shopify Plus features and industry trends. Working within a Scrum framework, they participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Development and maintenance of our Shopify stores, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and product managers, to deliver seamless e-commerce solutions.
  • Develop custom Shopify themes and modify existing ones to meet business requirements.
  • Integrate third-party apps and APIs to enhance the functionality of our Shopify stores.
  • Design and build efficient Apps to integrate business systems into Shopify and provide highly customized functionality.
  • Optimize website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, best practices, and industry trends.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Shopify Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful Shopify projects.
  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in building custom storefronts using Shopify Hydrogen and deploying them with Shopify Oxygen.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and SEO principles.
  • Experience with webhooks and API development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
