AFCO Performance Group is seekinga motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in Boonville, Indiana.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, customer interaction, andmaintainingaccurateAR financial records.


As an AR Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing customer accounts, processing daily cash receipts, reconciling transactions, collecting outstanding balances, and supporting the financial operations of multiple business divisions. You will work closely with sales, customer service, shipping, accounting, and management teams to ensuretimelycash collection and exceptional customer service.


This position offers an opportunity to build accounting, financial systems, and customer relationship skills while working in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.


What You'll Do

  • Process daily customer payments including ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards, PayPal, and Shopify transactions.
  • Maintain cashreceiptjournals, AR logs, customer payment documentation, and daily reporting.
  • Monitor, reconcile, andmaintaincustomer account balances.
  • Communicate with customersregardingoutstanding invoices, payment status, account questions, and payment discrepancies.
  • Process customer invoices, credit memos, adjustments, write-offs, and freight-related customer charges.
  • Analyze aging reports and perform collection activities for past due customer accounts.
  • Support Shopify, PayPal, and other online payment platform reconciliations and transfers.
  • Handle freight chargebacks, UPS billing discrepancies, call tags, and customer account adjustments.
  • Assistwith month-end close, account analysis, and audit support activities.
  • Work with Business Central, MAP/SOP, and other financial reporting tools.


What You'll Need

  • 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable, accounting, banking, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deadlines, and high-volume email requests.
