USA Roller Chain is seeking a technically capable and detail-oriented E-Commerce Manager to support and grow our Shopify-based e-commerce platform.
This is a hands-on role focused on managing the day-to-day operations of our website, maintaining a large product catalog, and supporting ongoing improvements to site structure, performance, and user experience.
You'll work closely with internal leadership and external partners to ensure the site runs efficiently, scales effectively, and continues to support our growth as a B2B distributor

  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and collaborate with external developers and agency partners
  • Make light front-end updates using Shopify tools/apps and basic code (HTML/CSS/Liquid)

Product Catalog & Data Management
  • Maintain and organize a large product catalog across tens of thousands of SKUs and thousands of collections/categories.
  • Perform bulk updates to product data (titles, descriptions, tags, pricing, images, etc.)
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and structure across all product listings
  • Support onboarding of new products and updates to existing listings

Collection, Filters & Site Structure
  • Maintain and improve product categorization and collection structure
  • Support ongoing improvements to filtering, navigation, and site organization
  • Help ensure backend systems are clean, scalable, and easy to maintain

Site Quality & Optimization
  • Review and test website updates to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, or broken elements
  • Support ongoing improvements to product pages, collections, and overall user experience

Collaboration & Execution
  • Work closely with internal team members and external partners (developers, agencies, etc.)
  • Help translate business needs into clear, actionable website updates
  • Assist in executing ongoing e-commerce initiatives and improvements

General E-Commerce Support
  • Support SEO-related updates, content improvements, and site optimizations designed to improve organic traffic
  • Assist with implementing promotions, campaigns, and new content
  • Contribute to improving overall site performance and usability

E-Commerce Operations & Performance
  • Monitor and report on key e-commerce KPIs, including traffic, conversion rate, average order value, revenue, and customer acquisition metrics
  • Identify and execute on-site optimization opportunities (search, navigation, merchandising, promotions) to improve conversion and customer experience
  • Manage digital promotions, seasonal campaigns, and product spotlights in coordination with the sales and marketing teams
  • Support B2B customers' onboarding to the portal, including account setup, pricing configuration, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with logistics and customer service on order management, fulfillment accuracy, and post-purchase experience

Qualifications
Required
  • 2 - 4 years of verifiable hands-on experience managing a Shopify storefront
  • Experience managing medium to large product catalogs, preferably complex SKU environments
  • Strong working knowledge of product data best practices: attributes, taxonomy, SEO-friendly content, and image standards
  • Proficiency with Shopify admin, bulk CSV operations, and common e-commerce integrations
  • Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and improve e-commerce-related processes and workflows

Preferred
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing a Shopify Plus storefront
  • Experience in a B2B, wholesale, or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with Shopify Plus, Shopify B2B / wholesale features, or third-party Shopify apps, bulk editing tools (matrixify), or page builders
  • Basic front-end development skills: Shopify Liquid, templating, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with NetSuite and inventory management system integrations
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals as they apply to product pages and category structure
  • Exposure to a PIM (Product Information Management) system is a plus
  • Knowledge of graphic design platforms such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude, strong organizational skills, and a systems-oriented mindset, with the ability to improve both day-to-day execution and long-term ecommerce operations.
What Success Looks Like
  • A well-organized, accurate, and scalable product catalog
  • Improved site structure, navigation, and usability
  • Efficient execution of website updates and changes
  • Reduced backlog of ecommerce-related tasks
  • Increased traffic and revenue on our website.
  • Improved the website user experience for customers and internal team members.

What We Offer
  • A high-impact, ownership-driven role with direct visibility to senior leadership
  • Base salary of $70,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience
