Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

Manufacturing Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of high-quality signage products. Working closely with the Plant Manager, this position assists in coordinating daily manufacturing activities, supervising production employees, monitoring workflow across departments, and helping ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations are achieved. The Plant Supervisor serves as a hands-on leader who promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to coordinate and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals and customer delivery schedules are met.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in implementing operational strategies that improve productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Conduct daily production meetings to communicate priorities, production goals, and operational updates.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, inventory usage, and production metrics.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the signage, metal fabrication, or custom manufacturing industry.
  • Two or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach as needed.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, welding fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
