Trailer Shop Manager

Transport Refrigeration is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Trailer Shop Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with refrigerated Semi-trailer wreck repair knowledge who enjoys working with customers, building relationships, estimating repairs, and helping grow the business.

If you have experience in trailer wreck repair, service, operations, or management and enjoy a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Estimate trailer repairs for customers ranging from minor repairs to major jobs
  • Sell trailer parts and grow outside parts sales
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Market services to both new and existing customers
  • Work closely with Service, Parts, and Sales departments to coordinate repairs and projects
  • Monitor estimate accuracy and shop performance
  • Visit customers and sell trailer shop services
  • Support shop growth and overall customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Previous experience estimating wreck repairs for reefer and dry trailer required
  • Background in Service Management, Operations Management, General Management, or related field preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sense of urgency and strong work ethic
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, walk, and climb in and around trailers
  • Comfortable working in both office and shop environments
