Location: Collingwood, ON (Near Kingston)

About the Opportunity: Shop Foreman

We are seeking a hands-on Shop Foreman to lead daily maintenance operations at our Seeleys Bay facility near Kingston, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong fleet maintenance professional who enjoys leading from the floor, mentoring technicians, and ensuring fleet reliability in a fast-paced transportation environment.

We are looking for someone who can balance leadership, organization, and technical expertise while maintaining a strong safety-first culture and ensuring vehicles remain compliant and road-ready.

Key Responsibilities: Shop Foreman
  • Supervise and support technicians, apprentices, and shop personnel
  • Coordinate daily workflow, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Assist with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs as required
  • Ensure fleet safety, reliability, and Ministry compliance standards are met
  • Monitor shop productivity and turnaround times
  • Support parts inventory and maintenance documentation
  • Work closely with operations and dispatch teams to minimize vehicle downtime
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
  • Promote strong communication, accountability, and teamwork within the shop
Qualifications: Shop Foreman
  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician License strongly preferred
  • 310S Automotive License may be considered with strong fleet or heavy equipment experience
  • Previous leadership, Lead Hand, or supervisory experience within a shop or fleet environment
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs and diesel diagnostics
  • Knowledge of MTO regulations and commercial vehicle compliance requirements
  • Ability to prioritize work and lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support technicians on the floor
Preferred Experience: Shop Foreman

Experience in one or more of the following environments is considered an asset:

  • School bus transportation
