SUMMARY
Shop Worker II assists in all aspects of the Die Forge Operations Department. Shop Worker II has a flexible role in the Die Forge group as they are moved into various areas of the operation as needed. This includes Presses, Die Maintenance, DF Saws, MFG Tech, Coatings Tech, and Utility positions. As a result, the Shop Worker II attains skills and training required to be moved to a more specialized and permanent role in the Die Forge Operations group, which best fits the individual's skill set.
Equipment Skills Level Requirements = minimum 6 points (internal skills matrix), moderate level on forklift, moderate level in mechanical skills, 2 pts. total on equipment (1 moderate or 2 basic).

• Basic Level = 1
MAJOR JOB DUTIES
Core responsibilities include:
• All functions of Shop Worker I
• Able to operate forklift/manipulator without supervision
• Able to operate different types of cranes without supervision
• Able to work independently when it comes to basics of workcenters
As a key member of Weber Metals, additional responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
• Demonstrating importance of the Weber Metals Safety Policy to the success of Weber Metals.
• Demonstrating importance of the Weber Metals Quality Policy to the success of Weber Metals.
• Demonstrating knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Environmental Policy.
• Demonstrating knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Business Management System.
• Working in a team environment to meet target dates.
• Responsible for reporting to work on time, with proper PPE, and being fully engaged for the entire shift.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Other duties as assigned
EQUIPMENT
PRESS (3200, 8K, 15K)
• Perform press setups with supervision
• Load and unload material without supervision
• Perform basic spray techniques without supervision
• Basic understanding of furnaces, temps and loading
• Basic understanding of die setups
SAW (STOCK, TRIM, TABLE)
• Basic operation of equipment without supervision
• Perform basic tool changes without supervision
• Layout and saw simple complexity and perform to Weber Metals quality and productivity standards
DIE MAINTENACE
• Ensure used dies are replaced in their designated storage area
• Load dies into die furnace without supervision
• Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on dies/tooling in accordance with WM best practice post forging operations
ETCHLINE
• Load and organize etch line baskets without supervision
• Basic cleaning of tanks with minimal supervision
• Understand how to identify parts with workorders and part numbers
REPAIR
• Understand remove basic forging defects in blockers through grinding, sanding, or polishing and properly blending to not cause a defect in a subsequent operation without supervision
• De-burr sharp edges on parts
• Execute 5S, FOD, Haz Waste procedures daily
RING MILL
• Configure mill in setup mode and make setup with supervision
• Basic knowledge of mandrels and other ring mill tooling
• Assist an established Ring Mill Helper with setup
MATERIAL HANNDLING
• Load and unload trucks with supervision
• Record material transfer between plants with guidance
• Able to correctly organize and stack pallets without supervision
• Locate job specific documents
• Receive raw material under supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must:
o Be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements
o Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
o High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
o Minimum 3 months at Weber or equivalent experience
o Experience in the forging or metals industry is preferred.
o Scores minimum 6 on skills matrix
