Description:Company: MRA (Mobile Experiential Tours)

Location: Madison Heights, Michigan, United States

Department: Shop/Fabrication

Reports To: Shop Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Want to be the engine that powers epic mobile experiences? MRA is where the biggest brands come to life on the road. While our drivers are "Hitting the Road with MRA," we need the best hands in the business to keep the show rolling right here in Madison Heights! If you're a skilled fabricator who loves turning blueprints into behemothsโ€”and isn't afraid of a little hydraulic fluidโ€”you belong in our shop. We're the Engine Room of Experience, and we need your expertise.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Shop Fabrication Technician (Shop Help), you'll be instrumental in creating and maintaining the custom trucks and trailers that form the backbone of our mobile experiential tours. This isn't production line workโ€”it's custom, hands-on fabrication that demands problem-solving and precision.

  • Custom Fabrication: Build, modify, and repair custom structures, platforms, walls, and unique components for our specialized experiential marketing vehicles (trucks and trailers).
  • Hydraulic Systems: Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems used for stage deployments, slide-outs, leveling, and lifting mechanisms on our units.
  • Structural Work: Perform general shop duties, including measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling metal and structural components.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Shop Manager and design team to ensure all custom fabrications meet exact specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Assist with general maintenance and repair of the mobile units, ensuring they are road-ready, functional, and looking great for their next tour.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.

Why Work at MRA?

We're a fast-paced, dynamic company that thrives on creativity and execution. You'll get to work on unique, one-of-a-kind projects for major brandsโ€”you won't be bored!

  • Custom Work: Say goodbye to repetitive factory tasks; every project presents a new fabrication challenge.
  • Team Environment: Join a tight-knit team of fabricators, mechanics, and logistics experts all focused on the same goal: making the impossible mobile.
  • Culture: We value hard work, accountability, and the ability to have a good time while we're Fueling the Fleet from Within.

If you're ready to use your skills to build the wildest marketing vehicles in the industry, apply today!

Requirements:
  • Required Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with hydraulic systems (installation, repair, and maintenance) is a must.
  • Experience: Prior professional experience in custom fabrication, construction, welding, auto body, or a similar trade is essential. You know your way around a shop!
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a variety of shop tools, including hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required for fabrication and repair work.
  • Attitude: A proactive, problem-solving mindset. You see a challenge and find a solution.
  • Full-Time Commitment: This is a full-time position requiring consistent attendance and dedication to meeting project deadlines.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding is a significant plus.
    • Possession of your own basic set of tools is highly desirable.
