Shop Assistant

Are you passionate about the HDD industry and looking for an opportunity to be part of a winning team? Then look no further. At Inrock, part of the Sandvik Group, we're now looking for a Shop Assistant!

About us

Inrock Drilling Systems is one of the world's largest tooling and service providers serving the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) industry. We provide tools and services to HDD contractors globally to help them install infrastructure pipelines transporting water, sewer, oil, gas, electric and fiber underneath geological and man-made obstacles.

Job Description

Receive, identify, store, distribute, inventory, pick, pack, and ship materials, supplies, components and equipment in the most efficient manner.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in Shipping or Receiving when needed.
  • Read appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
  • Move items to appropriate areas.
  • Record amounts of materials or items moved.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory records by posting materials received and disbursed.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  • Responsible for operating the warehouse machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all INROCK Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and ensures accuracy of all work output.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a timeline driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Oil and gas experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds required.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold weather conditions as required.
  • No air conditioning.
  • Ability to workout normal business hours/days as necessary.
