NWMCC specializes in municipal infrastructure inspection and rehabilitation. NWMCC's inspection division consists of cleaning and televising the internal condition of sewer and drain lines for cities, towns, and engineering firms across the New England area. NWMCC's rehabilitation division consists of concrete coating, epoxy coating, chemical grouting, installing cured in place pipe, trenchless point repairs, and vacuum excavation.
Job Description:
This employee will help support equipment maintenance, tool organization and overall facility upkeep. This person will report to the Superintendents and will help keep track of inventory levels, restock supplies and assist mechanics with any routine service and inspections.
Job Details:
Location: Rocky Hill, CT
Position: Shop Assistant
Schedule: Day shift Monday-Friday. 40-45 hours per week
Pay: $18-$22/hour plus overtime.

Job Duties:
  • Maintains vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles.
  • Keeps shop and surrounding area neat and orderly.
  • Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scraps from work areas.
  • Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
  • Assist in cleaning and restoring proper supplies in the shop.
  • Drive company vehicles, from vans to commercial trucks over 10,000 lbs
  • Deliver material to jobsites.

Job requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Previous shop assistant experience a plus
  • Able to pass a drug screen
