Description
You will be part of a team that works together to efficiently and safely unload all cars of brick and shapes. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of all transfer cars and haulages in the dept. You must be willing to help with other jobs if necessary. Operator will operate the utility forklift to move pallets and dump hoppers as necessary. Operator will vacuum all car decks and clean cars thoroughly if time permits. You will communicate with supervision about production, quality and safety issues. Weekly TPM and 5S as outline by management.
Requirements

  • Maintain safe and clean work area to avoid personal injury and/or property damage.
  • Must maintain established production levels for cars moved from the Dehacker and cars cleaned if time permits.
  • Use proper safety equipment and procedures including LO/TO
  • Ability to learn other jobs and fill in when needed.
  • Ability to understand computers as they relate to the transfer cars.
  • Ability to obtain a fork lift license.
  • Ability to use hand tools to perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance on transfer cars.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of transfer cars and haulage systems.
  • Ability to work odd hours or shifts if necessary
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, climb and bend regularly.
  • Hardhat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes and ear plugs etc. required.
