Route Sales Driver (Mobile Store Manager)

In this role as a Mobile Store Manager (MSM), you will learn the business from the ground up. Nearly 50% of our upper management and sales team started as a mobile store manager. Saf-Gard is a business to business company with over 40 years serving manufacturing, government, hospitality, distribution, and service organizations. Our route sales drivers earn a minimum of $57,500 total compensation during their first year and our experienced Mobile Store Managers earn between $60,000 and $65,000 after their second year. Total benefit package valued at up to $10,000 (PTO, healthcare, dental, disability, 401k).

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle with all Federal, State and local traffic laws and regulations. CDL licenses NOT required
  • Stock inventory on mobile store in accordance with upcoming customer appointments
  • Communicate with Sales Manager and Account Contacts before, during and after scheduled customer visits
  • Personally, greet customers upon arrival; assist the customer to select an appropriate shoe from customer selection.
  • Conclude sale by processing sales receipt and collecting payment if needed
  • Assist customers with exchanges and/or returns
  • Assist with physical inventory and shipping/receiving in warehouse location as needed.

Requirements

  • Selling and customer service represents 75% of this role
  • Must be customer service focused
  • Must be able to drive a 26-foot box truck
  • Overnight travel required depending upon your location, on average 2-3 nights per week, motel and meals paid
  • Must have a valid, current driver's license; CDL license is NOT required but MUST be able to pass a DOT physical/drug screen
  • A background check will be performed for driver's record and personal record
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is helpful
