Position Summary

We are seeking aย Quality Assurance Managerย to uphold Capitol Finishesโ€™ excellence at every stage of our decking installation projects. This role is vital in ensuring strict compliance withย NAVSEAย standards,ย OSHA maritime safety protocols, and internal quality benchmarks from material procurement through final inspection on U.S. Navy ships.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in dynamic environments with a focus on operational precision and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain quality control procedures across all marine decking projects.

  • Participate in procurement to ensure materials meet type, color, and quantity specifications.

  • Conduct pre-assignment job site walk-throughs to verify accurate measurements, material readiness, and site conditions.

  • Perform daily on-site inspections to ensure:

    • Clean, organized, and hazard-free work environments

    • Full adherence toย NAVSEA Standard Items 009-26 and 009-32

    • Compliance withย OSHA 10-Hour Maritimeย safety standards

  • Maintain complete, accurate documentation of all quality assurance activities and inspections.

  • Collaborate with project managers, production staff, and safety personnel to address quality issues and implement process improvements.

  • Use computer tools for quality tracking, inspection logs, and reporting.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic quality documentation systems.

  • High attention to detail with ability to interpret and apply technical standards and specifications.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and enforce quality compliance across teams.


Education
  • Bachelorโ€™s degreeย in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.


Required Certificationsย (or willingness to obtain after hire)
