Job Description
A leading manufacturing company in Houston is seeking a Shipping Coordinator – International to support domestic and international shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. This role combines shipping administration and hands-on warehouse support, requiring experience with export documentation, trade compliance, and physically preparing shipments for outbound delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with carriers and ERP systems while also assisting with packaging and moving materials as needed. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term placement based on performance and fit.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and process domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with trade regulations and company standards
• Prepare export documentation including certificates of origin, declarations, and shipping paperwork across multiple carriers and freight forwarders
• Audit shipments to verify physical goods, orders, and system records are accurate before release
• Monitor shipment status, resolve customs or documentation issues, and communicate updates to internal teams
• Assist with packaging, loading, inventory of shipping supplies, and other warehouse duties to support daily operations

Qualifications and Requirements:
• High school diploma required; prior international shipping or trade compliance experience required
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; IFS experience preferred
• Knowledge of import/export regulations including NAFTA, USMCA, and Korea-US FTA certifications
• Experience using shipping systems such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Microsoft Office applications
• Forklift certification or previous forklift experience preferred; ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual labor throughout the shift
