Job description

Reports to: Houston Logistics Manager

Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping

Primary Responsibility: The shipping/receiving clerk assists the fabrication and welding teams in a manufacturing setting. The prepping of materials, accurate inventory counts, knowledge of parts' locations, receiving process, and staging job orders is essential in the flow of customer orders throughout the building as well as improves labor performance of departmental teams.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

What You'll Do:

  • Learn and execute Shipping/Receiving process
  • Knowledge of shop layout, parts locations, bin system
  • Move parts and pallets as needed for Fabrication, Welding, and Shipping/Receiving
  • Use forklift
  • Read and interpret part drawings
  • Perform catalyst finishing procedures
  • Package finished catalyst product for both parcel and truck shipments
  • Understand and interact with job tracking system
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong Experience with a forklift
  • Experience loading flatbed trucks
  • Previous experience in shipping and Receiving
  • Good dexterity of hands
  • Ability to handle metal parts and insulation and be physically sound for repetitive bending and lifting
  • Ability to count, calculate, read warehouse map with bin locations
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time
