The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the safe movement, storage, and shipment of products using forklifts and other equipment in a food production environment. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving and verifying shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy and product rotation, and ensuring orders are prepared and shipped efficiently while meeting safety and quality standards.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

Safely and accurately move product into inventory and to the correct locations on a continuous basis.
Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport products.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; ensure proper placement in storage areas.
Prepare, stage, and ship outgoing orders while ensuring accuracy and product integrity.
Maintain proper product rotation (FIFO) and replenish picking locations as needed.
Place palletized products in designated reserve and pick slots.
Complete daily equipment inspections (pre-checks) and operate equipment safely at all times.
Work closely with production and warehouse teams to support workflow and productivity.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and uphold sanitation standards.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; work in a cool environment (1-4C).
Follow all food safety (GFSI) and health & safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What you have to offer:

Must have a valid forklift license (certification required) OR experience with forklift operation
Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, or food production environment.
Experience operating mobile equipment (standing forklift, manual and electric pallet jacks, etc.).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle shipping documentation accurately.
Ability to read and understand work instructions and shipping specifications.
Committed to safety, quality, and maintaining product integrity (minimizing damage and shortages).
Reliable, punctual, and able to meet productivity standards in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working on the floor in a hands-on role.
Willing and able to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends.
Previous loading experience is considered an asset.
