Description
The Shipping/Receiving Lead is responsible for monitoring Shipping/Receiving operations to ensure accuracy of all customer orders shipped and received into the Lifting Center. Prepares and packages products for shipment to internal and external customers. This includes processing paperwork, palletizing, weighing, labeling, and staging orders for pickup by LTL and Ground orders.
Requirements
Job Duties:
โ€ข Review production requirements of department with Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to determine production schedule and assign work to employees
โ€ข Plan, coordinate, and schedule tasks with all departments to ensure production schedules, ship dates, and inventory counts are maintained
โ€ข Ensure 100% accuracy of all loads received in and shipped out throughout the shift
โ€ข Communicate with departments personnel throughout the shift to ensure production schedules are being followed and shipments are on time
โ€ข Perform Inventory Cycle Counts as required
โ€ข Utilize daily opportunities to train, cross train, and guide employees
โ€ข Lead and Motivate all employees to achieve daily tasks and improve productivity
โ€ข Monitor and enforce adherence to all company principles, policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with Company Quality Assurance Standards
โ€ข Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow all Safety Guideline
โ€ข Assure equipment is utilized in accordance with company policy and procedures
โ€ข Set up, operate, adjust, and maintain production machines and equipment
โ€ข Provide recommendations to Coordinators and Distribution Center Manager for personnel related issues, i.e., hiring, disciplinary actions, and employee relations
