Job description

Job Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of multiple programs. The Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler offers the opportunity to develop and showcase your skills in support of logistics, inventory control, and shipping and receiving in a continuous improvement environment. Duties:

  • Before accepting delivery, verity incoming goods are intended for LEI US – HSV and have no external damage to packaging.
  • Verification of Clearance for Licensed International shipments.
  • Unpack and examines incoming shipments, verifying contents, while ensuring that all required documentation is included and accurate.
  • Transact Purchase Order Receipts and associated document management.
  • Label goods and transfer to appropriate physical inventory location.
  • Create non-conformance reports as needed.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to contractual requirements while adhering to all Compliance regulations.
  • Book Domestic and International shipments, monitor scheduled pick-up and delivery.
  • Maintain Shipping, and Receiving Log as required.
  • Engage with Compliance, Quality Assurance, Program Management, Purchasing and Transportation to ensure the timely delivery/pick up of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure dangerous goods shipments are handled correctly and prepared according to relevant DOT, IATA, and Lithium Battery shipping regulations.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand-truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areas.
  • Examine inventory levels and perform cycle counts.
  • Assemble Kits and Issue material to production and repair.
  • Coordinate Vendor Returns (RTV).
  • Perform all work in adherence with safety regulations while following LEI policy and procedure.
  • Perform other tasks as required.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail, and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Effective relationship builder with a customer focus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, while adhering to procedures.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills are required with intermediate level Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle or similar.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of TIPQA preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • DOT / IATA / Lithium Battery shipper certification preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Conditions

  • Primarily an Office / Production Environment with occasional Outdoor activity while loading and unloading trucks.
  • Physical ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for overtime and weekend shifts if needed.
