Job description

Job Summary
To receive, check in, ship out, crate, and move materials, supplies and product to departments and areas throughout the facility. Must be capable of handling all technical and practical aspects of the shipping, warehouse, receiving, & boxing procedures. Must perform work that results in timely and quality products.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Checks incoming items against accompanying documents. Notes exceptions, shortages or damages and notifies appropriate person. Unload trucks, uncrate boxes and verify quantity received in Baan, print travelers and put with parts, pallet protection if required, investigate and respond to emails and resolve all issues.
  • Operates hand and/or powered material handling equipment to transport material to and from, and between departments and areas. Operates overhead cranes and material moving equipment to load, unload product as required.
  • Store items in designated locations, fills orders for items, issuing stock to authorized persons.
  • Identifies, addresses, and weighs merchandise for shipment using procedures.
  • Prints packing list, weighs and stencils boxes and skids, prepares Bills of Lading, and contacts trucking company for pick up.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and trailers as required.
  • Insures that outgoing shipments are complete, properly accounted for and are in correct order. Performs other duties as packaging parts orders.Lays out, fabricates and assembles all varieties of shipping skids, boxes, to accommodate products for domestic and export shipments.
  • Operates woodworking, packaging, per procedures.Maintains department and equipment in clean and orderly fashion. Also includes the disposal of hazardous waste created by either process, and storing the waste in marked containers.
  • Follows appropriate handling and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with JHA Regulations. Knowledge of applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • For protection of self and others, performs all work in accordance with established safety practices and facility safety rules.
  • Produces quality on time parts and complies with ISO 9000 requirements.
  • Maintain OV rack and shop order file
  • Deliver packages for office employees
  • Stock ordered production supplies including tube and pipe.
  • Layout, identify, mark spare parts and issue in Baan.
  • Stock all stock and custom items and locate in Baan
  • Complete shop orders daily
  • Sort, identify, locate and cycle count surplus inventory
  • Ensure boxes in the department are located in proper location.
  • Organize warehouse
  • Uncrate motors and reservoirs as required
  • Print dispatch list each morning
  • Stage shop orders and issue to Baan daily.
  • Place pallet protection if required
  • Stock all shafting
  • Work JCN's by coordinating with Planner
  • Check back dock daily for fabs, etc that have been inspected to bring into identified area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Also includes changing paint booth filter and cleaning out saw dust collector.
  • Assists in the training of new or less experienced employees.
  • All personal tools will follow company RPI calibration requirements.
  • All personnel are required to locate their materials for processing and relocate them to next process staging area.

Qualifications and Skills
Completion of High School, or equivalent, requiring the use higher mathematics and the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports and recorded data. Must be able to read and write English. One to Two years experience preferred.
