Job description

Summary Description: Operation of forklifts and hand operated industrial lifts to move items within the facility and load/unload trucks. Cooler requires stacking boxes of products and moving items inside the facility.
Essential Job Functions/Duties:
  • Stacks boxes of product, moves items inside the facility.
  • Operates powered and hand operated industrial lift trucks to move items safely throughout the facility and load/unload trucks.
  • Follows the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
  • Physically inspects all packaging for condition and proper labeling.
  • Identifies and reports any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated, frozen, wet, or humid environments.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, moving equipment, and poultry products.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experiencing in a shipping/receiving role
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
