POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing the movement of materials inbound and outbound, domestic and international, as we grow Solomon Colors to the next level.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide shipping cost to sales for customer proposals, and recommend the most beneficial options for our customers regarding cost versus timing
  • Apply weekly fuel surcharge to quotes and bids
  • Work directly with sales representatives to make new customer on boarding smooth to meet their requirements
  • Support following up on requests for the tracing of missing shipments
  • File freight claims
  • Prepare warehouse BOL, packing list, and if necessary, customs documents for international shipments
  • Manage all aspects of stock transfers between Solomon Colors warehouse locations
  • Match modes of transport to meet cost requirements with customer needs
  • Perform empty tote round up with “milk runs” to make cost effective return of the empty totes for refilling, also prepare the return documents

Requirements:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Production Technician II, or equivalent job experience
