Material Handler / Tire Warehouse Associate

Location: Addison, IL

Schedule: 1st shift - Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Requirements: Onboarding / Authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a dependable and hardworking Material Handler / Tire Warehouse Associate to join their dynamic team.

**This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and enjoys hands-on work. **

The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe loading, unloading, movement, organization, and storage of tires and other automotive materials throughout the facility.

Duties

  • Load and unload tires, wheels, automotive parts, and other materials from delivery trucks.

  • Move heavy tires and materials throughout the warehouse and service facility.

  • Organize and store inventory in designated areas.

  • Prepare tires and materials for customer orders, deliveries, and service operations.

  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying quantities.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety procedures when handling heavy materials.

  • Assist technicians and other team members with moving and staging tires and equipment.

  • Operate material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.

  • Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, material-handling, tire, automotive, or shipping/receiving experience is preferred but not required.

  • This is a physically demanding position. The successful candidate must be able to: Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull heavy tires and materials. Perform repetitive lifting and material-handling tasks throughout the workday. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods. Work in a warehouse/service-shop environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures and good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
