Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Handler, reports to Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and preparation of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production operations by receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing and processing shipments, and ensuring proper lot traceability. Responsible for movement of materials to prepare for operation, inventory transactions, improving inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving of product, and filling in at different positions when needed.
Schedule - Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Physical preparation of all shipments.
  • Receive material and store it correctly using FIFO procedures.
  • Keep accurate filling of receipt and shipping documentation with correct lot trace ability tags.
  • Keep and maintain tracking of shipping containers.
  • Operate a forklift truck.
  • Follow all EHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform accurate month end inventories and understand part flow in plant and where to stock it.
  • Responsible for loading all production material for the assigned Production lines.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates functional skills.
  • Requires basic competency related to function.
  • Demonstrates basic functional process knowledge and participates in process.
  • Has awareness of Flex techniques.
  • May require ability to operate telephones, data entry equipment, forklifts, electronic scales, pallet jacks, and staple guns and to perform cycle counting and kitting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
