Position Summary

The Shipping & Packaging Associate is responsible for preparing online orders for shipment by ensuring every item is packaged securely, accurately labeled, and shipped on time. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Package and prepare daily online orders for shipment.
  • Carefully cushion, wrap, and secure products to prevent damage during transit.
  • Measure, resize, and customize shipping boxes for items of various sizes and shapes to minimize shipping costs while ensuring protection.
  • Print and apply shipping labels accurately using shipping software.
  • Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipment.
  • Compare shipping rates and select the most cost-effective shipping method when appropriate.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and packing workstation.
  • Monitor and maintain shipping supply inventory, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Meet daily shipping deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
Qualifications

  • Previous shipping, packaging, warehouse, or fulfillment experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to accurately resize and customize shipping boxes.
