Job description


For nearly 30 years, DASI has been in the business of providing comprehensive aircraft inventory support for airlines, MROs, OEMs, and distributors. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, with service centers in London and Singapore, DASI is a truly global partner, serving customers’ parts and inventory needs in more than 140 countries.

DASI is embracing the potential of online sales and their digital marketplace, which has been growing exponentially and has tremendous potential with the right technology team in place to support and take it to the next level.  
Purpose: 

At DASI, the role of the Shipper is to ensure that outgoing shipments are adequately packaged/preserved and meet Customer and/or DASI delivery requirements.

Key accountabilities: 

•    Pack & Ship merchandise according to established procedures.
•    Ensure all parts are packaged properly, so no damage occurs during shipping.
•    Check customer requirements or ATA SPEC 300 for special packaging sequence. 
•    Process air waybills and related shipping documentation and check for accuracy. 
•    Schedule pickups as required. 
•    Ensure all documentation is packaged with parts before shipping. 
•    Image all documents and pictures pertaining to each sales order into our system. 
•    Communicating with the DASI Pre-Ship Team with shipping related issues, when necessary. 
•    Responsible for other special projects or duties ass assigned.

Key skills and competences:

•    Meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required.
•    Must be self-motivated.
•    Demonstrates pride in own work.
•    Ability to perform light to moderate lifting.
•    Be able to operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment.
•    Can work in a team environment.

Experience and qualifications:

•    High School Graduate or GED- Required.
•    Experience with domestic and international regulations.    
•    Knowledge of carrier computer systems such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
•    Haz Mat training is a plus.
•    Knowledge of computer hardware and associated software (i.e., inventory management, Ship station and MS Office)
