Material Handler/Forklift Driver

The Material Handler/Forklift Driver is responsible for moving, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the production area to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process. You will operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport parts and finished products, helping to maintain inventory accuracy and ensuring that production deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and organization of materials.
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and labeling parts and materials.
  • Ensure the material handling area is clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed for assembly and manufacturing.
  • Perform regular checks on forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Assist with other duties as needed to support the production process.
Qualifications
  • Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or forklift driver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
