Job description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Processes all customer product orders through company’s order entry software system.
  • Prepares required shipping documentation for all domestic and international customer orders.
  • Responsible for the content and accuracy of all shipping documents.
  • Schedules and coordinates all freight logistics with customers, transportation providers and freight forwarders.
  • Serves as the primary customer service contact and resolves all issues as they arise with respect to shipping and customer orders.
  • Coordinates shipments with other Shipping Department personnel to ensure that all shipments are properly prepare & ready for pick up on-time.
  • Prepares all documentation necessary for accurate customer packing list & invoicing.
  • Scans and files all shipping documentation for future reference and auditing purposes.
  • Prepares and ships product samples to potential customers.
  • Other duties assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • Experience in Order Fulfillment and Customer Service
  • Experience in freight logistics including domestic and international transportation of goods.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with order entry / inventory systems.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and efficiently coordinate efforts with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with management, hourly staff, and external vendors professionally and effectively.
  • Attention to detail in meeting all customers and shipping requirements.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and accommodate rush situations to meet customer needs.
  • Forklift operator license a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Walking, standing. Lifting -weight of up to 50lbs.

  • Employees are subject to work at the warehouse.
