Logistics Coordinator
Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Key responsibilities:
  • Compliance with all TSA, DOT and Customs regulations (US and Foreign)
  • Preparation and execution of freight negotiations with agents, dispatchers, deugro overseas offices, etc.
  • Coordination of transport processes with warehouses, forwarders and suppliers
  • Organisation of inland and airfreight shipments
  • Organisation of inland and oceanfreight shipments
  • Taking over the entire communication with overseas
  • Carrying out continuous training and familiarisation of new colleagues or team members
  • Checking and approving incoming invoices, creation of billing invoices
  • Preparation of outgoing invoices and shipping documents of all kinds
  • Tracking and tracing of freight to destination
  • Checking of shipping orders
  • General dispatch processing incl. customer service
  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
  • Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of all projects and related matters incl. filing and archiving of all important documents

Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), some higher education preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passing the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air, Excluding Radioactive Cat 3 will be required in order to remain in this position
  • Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations
  • Experience in working in different time zones and different cultures
  • Computer skills - MS Windows 7, MS Office
  • Positive attitude and problem solving ability in a fast paced working environment
  • Multitasking Skills - Able to handle various assignments in daily coordination with overseas offices
  • Creative thinking and open to new ideas
  • Excellent communication - Verbal & Written
  • Focus - Pay attention to the customer's needs and commit to exceeding them
