Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to manage and book all shipments of products sold by our company. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of goods to customers, coordinating with shipping carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate records. This role is crucial in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and cost-effective shipping processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipments: Manage and arrange all outgoing shipments, ensuring they are booked and scheduled with the appropriate carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Prepare Shipping Documentation: Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and any necessary export documentation.
  • Select Carriers: Evaluate and select the most cost-effective and reliable shipping carriers based on shipment requirements, delivery times, and costs.
  • Track Shipments: Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, proactively resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, customers, and carriers regarding shipment status, delays, or any shipping-related inquiries.
  • Manage Shipping Costs: Negotiate rates with carriers and manage shipping budgets to optimize costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Maintain Shipping Records: Keep accurate records of all shipments, including carrier contracts, shipment details, costs, and delivery receipts for tracking and auditing purposes.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with local, national, and international shipping regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse and inventory teams to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of orders and manage inventory levels for outbound shipments.
  • Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations, carriers, and logistics.
  • Skills:
