Job description

US Farathane is seeking a Corporate Quality Systems Internal Auditor at our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The Corporate Internal Quality Auditor leverages their subject matter expertise in USF Quality Management System to train and educate all USF teammates on the content and importance of our Quality Management System; driving improvement and compliance to procedures and processes through auditing and follow‑up to close nonconformances. This position sits fully onsite in Auburn Hills, MI.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Evaluate administrative and operational/production processes for compliance with QMS requirements and applicable standards.
  • Participate in quality audits and, when certified Lead Auditor, lead the audit team when assigned.
  • Assist in developing audit schedules and audit plans.
  • Identify processes or situations where the organization is meeting or not meeting requirements, and identify opportunities for quality system improvement.
  • Assist the audit team in developing audit reports and presenting conclusions to the audited party.
  • Review and evaluate auditee resolution of any nonconformances.
  • Assist with follow‑up audits, as required.
  • Prepare for and support external quality system audits at USF corporate offices and plants.
  • May support corporate operational quality personnel (e.g., AQE, Quality Manager).
  • Work independently and project a professional image appropriate to the work environment.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality role within a multi‑site manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and automotive OEM customer‑specific requirements.
  • Experience successfully interacting with internal customers, external customers, and third‑party auditors.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced product quality planning (APQP) experience.
  • Proficiency with automotive quality core tools, including root‑cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Excellent educational and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Confident professional leader with the ability to influence cross‑functional organization.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to switch among projects without losing momentum or enthusiasm.
