Shipping Clerk – 2nd Shift???? Location: Decatur, AL
???? Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am / Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm (Saturdays as needed for overtime)
???? Pay: $23.00-$26.00 Competitive pay based on experience

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Clerk to join our growing manufacturing team! If you enjoy staying organized, working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll be an essential part of our operation by coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining shipping documentation, and working closely with production to ensure our customers receive quality products on schedule.
What You'll Do
As our Shipping Clerk, you will:
  • Coordinate daily shipments using production and shipping schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and related paperwork accurately.
  • Verify that the correct materials are loaded onto the correct trucks before shipment.
  • Organize and oversee outbound shipments from order fulfillment through final delivery.
  • Ensure products are packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and without damage.
  • Schedule trucks and coordinate shipping logistics with internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate computer records and update shipping documentation as needed.
  • Read and interpret production drawings and routers while performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Keep the Operations Manager informed of workload, shipping concerns, and production updates.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company quality standards, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
  • At least 3 years of shipping and warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
  • Experience preparing and processing Bills of Lading (BOLs) and familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience scheduling shipments, loading trucks, and ensuring accurate product deliveries.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing experience is preferred.
