Job description

Locally owned commercial HVAC manufacturer's representative located in San Antonio, TX is searching for a Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join the team.
Candidates must be able to perform the following duties but not limited to:
  • Assist in shipping and receiving to include unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped, include operating a forklift
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Drive 16ft delivery truck around greater San Antonio area to deliver to businesses and job sites
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area for shipping or pickup.
  • Accurately process daily sales in computer system.
  • Responsible for accurately processing credit cards, cash and checks for COD customers.
  • Responsible to communicate with sales departments on orders and problem-solving issues as they arise.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing and/or shipping.
  • Assist in counting physical inventory.
  • Sweep, dust, mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wear proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain customers relationship with the Mechanical Reps business ethics policy
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all employees, customers and incoming and outgoing traffic.
  • Maintain a good relationship with all personnel with Mechanical Reps organization.
