Job description

Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Shipping Assistant. The individual in this role will support the shipping department by helping ensure orders are prepared, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. They will work closely with warehouse staff, carriers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed correctly, required paperwork is completed, and communication regarding shipping activity is clear and timely. This position focuses on administrative support and coordination to help maintain an organized and efficient shipping process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and labels
  • Verify order accuracy before shipment
  • Assist with routing shipments and coordinating carriers
  • Enter and update shipping information in company systems
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams regarding shipments
  • Track shipments and help resolve delivery or routing issues
  • Maintain records and filing for shipping documentation
  • Support the team with daily scheduling and shipment planning
  • Other duties as assigned
