PRODUCTION SUPPLY & INVENTORY CLERK – HICKORY, NC
Temp-to-Hire | Monday–Thursday | $18–$21/hr
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with inventory or production materials? We are hiring an experienced Production Supply & Inventory Clerk in Hickory for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity!
PREVIOUS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
Candidates must have previous experience in inventory, kitting, material handling, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing production support. This is not an entry-level position.
PAY
$18–$21/hr based on experience
SCHEDULE
Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Enjoy a consistent 4-day workweek with a set schedule!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Pulling materials and small parts for production work orders
  • Building complete kits for assembly teams
  • Verifying part numbers, descriptions, and quantities for accuracy
  • Staging materials for production
  • Replenishing assembly carts
  • Receiving, labeling, organizing, and putting away incoming materials
  • Tracking material movement within an inventory/ERP system
  • Performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Identifying shortages and inventory discrepancies before they impact production
  • Using counting scales to accurately verify quantities
  • Assisting with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Maintaining clean and organized inventory and staging areas
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous relevant experience is REQUIRED
  • Kitting experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with inventory control, material handling, warehouse operations, receiving, or production support
  • Experience working from work orders, pick lists, bills of material, or production schedules preferred
  • Strong attention to detail when working with part numbers and quantities
  • Experience with inventory transactions or ERP systems is a plus
  • Shipping and receiving experience is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple production needs
  • Strong counting, organizational, and communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs independently
  • Items weighing 50+ lbs require a team lift
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where dust and grease may be present
