Job description

FLSA Classification: Exempt
Overview:
We are Prime Matter Labs, a personal care product manufacturer with over 40 years of experience formulating, compounding, and filling products for some of the most successful and respected brands in the world.
We have embarked in pursuit of a bold new vision to be the leading product development and production partner in the country for emerging and established brands. To realize that vision, we're investing in new technology, processes, plans, and people that will completely rethink the way that brands view and interact with their manufacturer. We're building the platform that will allow us to serve as the foundation of our customer's branded products, from their first sample to their million-unit product run, and every step in between.
Come help us build the future of the personal care and beauty landscape, one partnership at a time.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with managers, team members and company executives to identify the production needs of the business and help set quotas and other important metrics for production.
  • Work closely with production staff in the development of the weekly and monthly production schedule.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping teams to ensure monthly sales targets are met.
  • Identify priority products, optimize workflows and meet order requirements. This includes prioritizing specific client orders for business relationships or to meet strict time requirements. Decide which products take priority and coordinate the projects' needs with the production floor.
  • Prepare reports to track progress against monthly, quarterly and yearly sales forecasts.
  • Analyze and identify risks built into the Master Production Plan considering manufacturing lead times and capacity constraints.
  • Support company-wide goals for on-time delivery to customer request dates.
  • Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, reconciling the demand plan with production capacity and supply constraints.
  • Track and report forecast-accuracy KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, MAPE, and bias) and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner with purchasing to align raw-material and component availability with the production plan, with particular attention to long-lead-time and shelf-life-sensitive materials.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate item, lead-time, and capacity data within the ERP/MRP system to support reliable planning.
  • Support the development of the yearly top-line revenue budget by consolidating customer forecasts, historical forecasting trends, and firm orders into a defensible annual volume plan.
  • Follow up with customers on delivery dates for customer-supplied materials and components to ensure on-time availability for scheduled production.
  • Support analysis on how the long-term forecast impacts equipment capacity, informing new-project site assignments and future equipment needs.
  • Provide site production planners with the data needed to drive a firm four-week production schedule.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or other related field
  • 2+ years of related work experience in manufacturing industry is required
  • Previous experience in supply chain demand planning is an asset
  • Possess knowledge and experience in forecasting, data analysis, and supply chain management
  • Exhibit the ability to be analytical and support analysis with data
  • Experience in personal care, cosmetics, CPG, nutraceutical, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and demand-planning tools or ERP planning modules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel
  • Familiarity with production planning software
  • Organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage in a complex and fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401K program
  • The spirit of a startup with the security of an established, profitable industry leader
  • The opportunity to make waves in a $250B industry
  • Paid time off and company-observed holidays

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based work environment during regular business hours.
  • Frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (files, binders, or office materials).
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed throughout the workday.
