Job description

Description
The Prep mixer will properly, safely and effectively set up the production mixer each day. 

Essential Job Duties:
  • Check the production schedule for changes
  • Reviews the contents of the buggies.
  • Place the buggy on the platform of the mixer.
  • Ensure the auto secure notches are aligned. 
  • Push the UP button on the Mixer and watch for the contents to empty into the mixer.
  • To ensure all contents from the Buggy are used, use the designated paddle to empty the buggy. Repeat this process for all ingredients. 
  • Use the two buttons on the sides of the machine to operate the mixer. Leave the mixer on for 90 seconds or until the mix is properly mixed. 
  • Empty the mixer into 2 buggies.
  • Move the buggies to the V-mag machine. 
  • Move into packing area to wash the fryer.
  • Record Mixing Logs daily.
  • Maintain effective communication with other supervisors, and management.
  • Report any food safety and/or quality issues to Production Manager immediately.
  • Cross train in other areas of the company/ Prep area for fill in or other assignments when needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • In the absence of Prep Mixer, Prep Supervisor will cover his/her Food Safety and Quality responsibilities. 

Competencies & Skills Requirements:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experience
  • Experience with Food and Beverage industry preferred
Sanitation
  • Clean the mixer, squeegee the water off the floor, washes the packing area fryer.

Physical Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all equipment of the workstation and other areas as needed. Frequent lifting, bending and twisting. Lifting up to 30 lbs. required to complete daily tasks.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually entire shift. 
  • Occasionally required to balance or climb.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently exposed to airborne particles
