SHEQ roles are common in industries like construction, manufacturing, and logistics, where safety and compliance are critical.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Sheq position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) professional, you need expertise in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, and quality management principles, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO auditor, or similar credentials. Familiarity with safety management systems (such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001), audit tools, and incident reporting software is typically required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with teams at all levels are crucial soft skills for success in this role.
