The Senior Projects Architect leads and manages the technical aspects of new construction and base building projects. Provides design and technical support throughout project administration, design development, and construction documents phases.
This role ensures technical excellence, coordination of building systems, and adherence to firm standards while supporting overall project delivery from concept through construction.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures technical adherence to office and firm-wide standards by providing technical viewpoint on ground-up and base building projects
  • Directs staff to complete construction documents (CDs) for full building scope including core, shell, and site elements
  • Reviews CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, structural coordination, building systems, codes, zoning, and accessibility requirements
  • Works with design staff to provide technical solutions for complex building systems, envelope detailing, and site coordination challenges
  • Manages coordination with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants
  • Manages contract administration budget. Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs PM and/or client of any potential variances
  • Manages the work of other technical staff. Oversees tasks and provides feedback on work
  • Organizes and conducts client interviews to determine technical requirements and project goals
  • Participates in permitting submissions and responds to agency review comments
  • Reviews RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent

Education & Work Experience
  • Graduate of architecture or design school.
  • 8+ years' work experience on corporate interior design projects.
  • Licensed Architect

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles and standards.
  • Advanced interior architecture detailing skills.
  • Expert interior architecture detailing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 based on education, licensing and relevant industry experience
