Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday: Dependent on route, average 5 days per week. Start Times range from: 3:00 am – 5:00 am (dependent on route) End Times range from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm (until the route has been completed) Routes will not exceed DOT hours. Weekend work may be required based on business needs. Minimum of 1 overnight (layover) route per week.

Job Purpose and Overview As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will support our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the distribution center by driving a tractor-trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and Dawn team standards. This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

What Does It Take to be a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

Class "A" CDL License in good standing Minimum of 6 months Class A Commercial driving experience Ability to work in the United States Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout work shift Ability to operate MHE equipment Experience delivering into food service accounts is preferred Lift-gate, reefer, electric pallet jack and forklift experience helpful Computer skills or experience with electronic logs helpful

What will you do as a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods? Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating, recording and safe food handling procedures Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner In a DSD (direct store delivery) setting, break down product and complete shelf stacking at each stop Driving and maintaining multi-temp trailers Offloading with electric pallet jacks/two wheelers Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries

Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures. Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS-monitored vehicle. Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
