About the Role:
Kent Sheet Metal is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic and a motivated Helper to join our growing team on Long Island and the Five Boroughs, NY. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and want to work with a company that values your skills, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components and systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools
  • Install ductwork, equipment, and other sheet metal products
  • Assist lead mechanics with layout, assembly, and installation tasks (Helper role)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with project specs
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred (Mechanic role)
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on environment (Helper role)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus
  • Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
