East Penn is currently seeking 2 Sheet Metal Fabricators on 1st shift in Lyon Station, PA.  We are seeing candidates with sheet metal fabrication experience.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Being directly supervised by a classified mechanic, assisting in shop and field fabrication and installations of sheet metal projects. 

-Performing duties necessary to daily sheet metal shop operations. 

-Shop work may include minor fabrication work layout, welding, cutting, and using sheet metal shop equipment (shears, breaks, roller).

-Being responsible for putting material away and keeping a neat and orderly work area. 

-Field work may involve cutting, welding, working on ladders, using lifts and other equipment; working on roofs. and ceilings of buildings when assisting in the installation of sheet metal projects. 

*Maintains regular attendance.

*Ability to work mandatory over time.

Performs other duties as requested.

Responsible for producing a high quality product.

Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.


Literate (able to understand basic blueprints); general math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)) Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in the sheet metal field.  The use of measuring devices used in sheet metal trade.  Able to stick and mig weld and able to use cutting equipment.  Must be able to do climbing, heavy lifting, and working at heights.  Experience in Industrial type sheet metal field (ventilation, guarding). 2-3 years of vo-tech training or some other form of training and at least 1 year of basic sheet metal or 2 years experience without vo-tech training.
