ABOUT THE JOB:
  • The Product Manager or Senior Product Manager (PM) has revenue, market share, and profit & loss responsibility for our VAPS (value added products and services) offering in North America. He or she will be reporting to the Marketing Director North America.
  • The PM is responsible for translating the general strategic direction from senior management into a set of concrete strategies and plans for the products he or she is responsible for. The job requires strategic skills, leadership, and a set of marketing skills that can translate into successful sales, share and profit results.
  • The PM must have a keen view of the external environment including a) general trends impacting the business b) competitive assessment and c) and customer understanding. A PM requires strategic skills and an ability to formulate the strategic direction for the business including all major marketing decisions including promotion, product changes, pricing, new products, and other key programs that could affect the short and long term profitability and share position.
  • The PM must be a good leader of people. He or she will lead multifunctional teams throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Maintain and grow his or her product category in terms of Net Revenue, EBITDA, and Market Share.
  • Strategic, annual, and marketing planning/re-planning.
  • Leadership of activities inside and outside the company that will result in successful implementation of marketing plans.
  • External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, and market trends.
  • Lead new product initiatives in the North American Region (for VAPS).
  • Identify and pursue margin and financial enhancing programs.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Progression of successful accomplishments to include typically 7+ years in product marketing, preferably within the B2B arena. This experience should include successful development and implementation of marketing programs, and new launch experience.
  • He or she must possess inherent flexibility and business acumen to deal with multiple markets with differing realities and needs.
  • Burgeoning leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation and creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable for P&L results.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator to wide breadth of audiences including senior management.
