Job description

Cavallo is looking for a strong, hands-on execution-focused Agile Product Owner to work with our team to deliver best-in-class software solutions for our innovative and industry-leading products. The right candidate is highly motivated with a genuine interest in cloud technology and a passion for turning product strategy into reality.

In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between Product Management and Engineering. While the Product Manager defines the "why" and the overall market strategy, you will own the "what" by taking full ownership of the product backlog and translating the broader vision into actionable and clearly defined tasks for the development team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Translating Strategy to Execution: Partner closely with Product Management to thoroughly understand the product vision, roadmap, and business cases, translating that strategy into actionable requirements for the Agile development team.
  • Backlog Ownership: Take complete ownership of planning, prioritizing, and maintaining the product feature backlog for the SalesPad for BC segment, ensuring the development team always has a refined, ready-to-work queue of tasks.
  • Defining the "What": Write clear, detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Sprint & Iteration Planning: Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and iteration management, ensuring the team's daily work directly aligns with the strategic priorities set by the Product Manager.
  • Value Delivery: Assess technical constraints and prioritize development work to ensure the team consistently delivers features with maximum efficiency and functionality for our Business Central customers.
  • Impediment Resolution: Take a highly active role in identifying and mitigating roadblocks that impact the successful completion of sprint goals.
  • Release Coordination: Collaborate on product release plans, setting clear technical expectations for the delivery of new BC functionalities and ensuring successful hand-offs.
  • Accepting Work: Serve as the final voice of quality for the development team, reviewing and accepting completed user stories to ensure they meet the defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Excellence: Keep abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices and continuously optimize the team's execution workflows.

This may be the job for you if:

  • You have 2 years minimum commercial experience specifically as an execution-focused Product Owner, within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or supply chain/distribution technology. Proven success with ownership of multiple products and capabilities within a product-line ecosystem.
  • You have familiarity with, or direct experience working in, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (highly preferred).
  • You hold a 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a similar relevant field.
  • You possess in-depth, tactical knowledge of Agile processes, Scrum ceremonies, and backlog management tools. Required experience with Atlassian solutions -Jira, Confluence.
  • You possess Scrum Certifications. Professional Scrum Product Owner I/II from Scrum.org preferred.
  • You leverage internal AI tooling for increased productivity, execution density and quality outcomes. Experienced with Google Workspace tools.
  • You have outstanding communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs from Product Managers into precise technical instructions for developers.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, operating with a strong attention to detail.
  • You are looking to join a team of people who are eager to learn, share knowledge, and are united in reaching Cavallo's mission.
  • You personify Cavallo's Core Values.

Why should you apply?

  • Become a member of a #PeopleFirst organization that believes in instilling excellence in the people who make up our team.
  • Work with collaborative colleagues who seek out and value each other's input and feedback.
  • Learn from strong leadership who believe in creating enormous and measurable value for our Customers.

Key Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary Package
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and STD Insurance
  • 4% 401(k) Employer Match
  • Generous PTO and Work/Life Synergy
