Unit: 7 Medical Cardiac Shift: Days and Nights Available FTE: Full-Time
 

The Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is made up of several specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs.  Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.  Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

**Great steppingstone into our ICU and ED units**

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school

  • License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
