Job description

Our physicians are experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology. Together with a dedicated team of nurses and lab professionals, they provide compassionate, one-on-one care that is personalized for every patient.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work PRN hours. If you have a heart for working in women's health and have the skills and experience below, we welcome your application!
Essential Duties:
  • Ability to provide multi-dimensional care for patients in the PACU area.
  • Assesses assigned area to ensure that all necessary supplies and emergency equipment is available and operational.
  • Identifies and assesses areas of patient concern, answers questions within nursing scope.
  • Recognizes and reports deviation in patient assessment appropriately to provider, charge nurse or administrator.
  • Reviews and carries out surgeons/anesthesiologists' orders as indicated.
  • Initiates, intravenous therapy as ordered and performs CLIA waived testing as indicated (urine pregnancy test, HemaQue, and Finger stick glucose testing)
  • Follows universal protocol for patient identification, consent signing, site marking, and time out process per RMG IVF/ Surgery Center Policy
  • Observes patients' recovery from anesthesia for a period of time determined as being consistent with the safety and welfare of the patient.
  • Monitors patient vital signs per policy in Pre-op and PACU phase; is able to recognize a change in patient condition and notifies Anesthesiologist, Surgeon or Medical Director as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing - BSN preferred and Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse
  • Able to demonstrate communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, marketing and public relations.
  • One year nursing experience is preferred, we will consider a new grad with the right attitude
  • Preferred experience in Pre-Op/PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Nursing
