Job description

Overview

The campus has earned both a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A" and a CMS 5-Star Quality Rating and is known for its excellence in Maternal/Child Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Bariatric Surgery, and Emergency Care.

Responsibilities

Our Float Pool RNs:

 

  • Be responsible for floating between various Nursing Units throughout the hospital based on need
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the patient population on the nursing unit
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for caring for a diverse patient population 
  • New Grad RNs will be considered
  • 1+ Years of acute care hospital based nursing (RN) experience preferred
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or currently enrolled in a BSN program
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration required
  • Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
    • ACLS must be attained within 6 months of hire
