What You Will Do
The Culture Engagement Specialist supports and advances The Sharp Experience by developing and leading programs, events, and educational initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and service excellence under the direction of the Manager of The Sharp Experience. This position exists to provide resources, logistical support, program development, and engagement opportunities that help employees and leaders consistently deliver exceptional experiences for patients and each other. By leading day to day operations of programs like the Sharp Experience Ambassador Program and partnering with the Manager of The Sharp Experience to develop and execute both ongoing and new initiatives, the role enhances learning, adoption, and engagement with The Sharp Experience across Sharp HealthCare and enables the team to respond to organizational needs with greater agility and timeliness. Ultimately, it contributes to Sharp's mission by reinforcing a unified, patient-centered culture that enhances satisfaction, loyalty, and organizational performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education, Training and Development, or related field.
  • 5 Years Experience with programs related to organizational development, cultural experience, employee engagement, etc. Experience to include a focus on service excellence concepts and best practices, measuring outcomes, leading data driven change initiatives, program design and development.
  • 5 Years experience in communication and writing - targeting large workforces, leaders, and community members.
  • 1 Year experience in a healthcare setting.

Essential Functions
  • Program Coordination
    Plan and execute initiatives that advance organizational culture and The Sharp Experience by assisting with planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and activities.
    Independantly engage with employees across various levels, including frontline clinicians and administrative staff, to provide information, resources, and support related to The Sharp Experience.
    Design, prepare and deliver presentations and facilitate sessions for internal stakeholders and occasionally external partners, ensuring professional preparation of materials and logistics, while managing activities related to The Sharp Experience.
    Partner with The Sharp Experience representatives across the system, providing administrative support and ensuring alignment with entity and system priorities.
    Gather and organize feedback from employees and representatives to share with The Sharp Experience division, supporting outreach efforts and workforce engagement initiatives.
    Represent The Sharp Experience team in committees and workgroups as a contributing member, providing input and support as needed rather than serving in an expert or leadership capacity.
    Serve as a resource and advocate for employees by listening to concerns, documenting observations, and escalating issues or suggestions to appropriate leadership when necessary.
    Assist with project coordination, including tracking timelines, organizing meetings, and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
    Conduct organizational assessments (e.g., surveys, focus groups) by coordinating logistics, compiling data, and preparing summaries to identify opportunities for improvement in engagement and effectiveness.

  • Education and Outreach Support
    Develop and deliver engaging programs on topics related to The Sharp Experience (TSE), such as service excellence techniques, extending TSE principles to employees, physicians, and patients, team.
    Partner with The Sharp Experience and The Sharp University teams to develop educational programming to enhance the culture of the organization, with focus on standardizing education and practice of The Sharp Experience Foundational Tools.

  • Workplace Culture Enhancement and The Sharp Experience Enculturation
    Identify opportunities to strengthen workplace culture by working across departments and roles, applying curiosity, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
    Enable ongoing identification and sharing of stories that demonstrate The Sharp Experience in action.
    Execute culture integration efforts for new teams, entities, and partners through education, events, and experience-based activities.
    Advance inclusion-focused practices by contributing to initiatives and policies that promote diversity, equity, and belonging.

  • Communication
    Develop and deliver internal communications to reinforce the company's dedication to The Sharp Experience, including regular updates, emails, one-pagers, and social events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of organizational culture.
  • Knowledge of design principles and organizational culture preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to be responsive in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with various levels of staff, leaders, and community members.
  • Effective team player; is highly motivated to contribute and collaborate with multiple and various teams and departments.
  • Must have well developed presentation skills and ability to speak to large groups of diverse populations.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
