Job Description:

We are looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Maven Dermatology. This position plays a key role in supporting both clinical operations and patient care. This position involves managing prior authorizations, coordinating referrals with primary care providers and specialists, and serving as a primary point of contact for patients regarding biopsy results, lab findings, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled at communicating clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers. By ensuring timely and accurate administrative support, this role contributes to a smooth, efficient practice and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Updating patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Keeping patients informed of appointment delays and scheduling follow-ups
  • Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front office
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification required
  • Dermatology experience required
  • 0-6 months' experience in a medical office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Thorough and organized with patient care and file maintenance
