This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting‑edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise‑Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high‑impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission‑critical systems and environments.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • This is not a site administrator… this is someone experienced in designing, implementing, operating, and updating the SharePoint application and the SharePoint farm.
  • Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining SharePoint systems.
  • Supports system operations and services.
  • Creates and manages sites.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Trains and supports business users.
  • Researches and resolves access issues.
  • Plans, directs and executes system upgrades and design changes.
Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on SharePoint farm administration experience with SharePoint Server (2016, 2019, or Subscription Edition) and SharePoint Online hybrid environments.
  • Experience designing and managing multi‑tier SharePoint farms, including Web Front Ends, Application Servers, Database Servers, and Service Applications.
  • Strong understanding of DoD security standards, access controls, and compliance requirements for enterprise SharePoint deployments.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain a CI Poly.
Preferred Requirements

Desired certifications or training: Formal SharePoint training or certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate, SharePoint Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Collaboration/SharePoint. Formal training in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, or network administration.

Desired experience: Previous experience with monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting SharePoint farm performance, search indexing, and service applications. Experience with SharePoint disaster recovery planning, patching strategies, and upgrade management.
